WWHS Held Kick-off Meeting for Provincial and Municipal R&D Projects
On the morning of August 11, 2020, the kick-off meeting for the Guangdong Key Area R&D Program project "Development and Industrialization of Rapid, High-Sensitivity Diagnostic Test Kits for Coronary Heart Disease" and the Shenzhen Key Technology Breakthrough Project "Key Technology R&D for Monodisperse Fluorescent Microsphere Preparation" was grandly held in the conference room of Shenzhen WWHS Biotech Co., Ltd. The chief scientist of the project is Professor Wang Guoxin, General Manager of the company.
Experts attending the kick-off meeting included: Professor Li Zigang from Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, Professor Liang Yongye from Southern University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhang Qianling from Shenzhen University, and Dr. Yang Shucai from Shenzhen Pingshan District People's Hospital. Also attending were representatives from project partner institutions: Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen YHLO Biotech Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Second People's Hospital, The Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Shenzhen Hospital (Guangming), including project leaders and key members.
Professor Wang Guoxin, General Manager of Shenzhen WWHS Biotech and project leader, delivered a welcome address to the attending leaders and experts, and introduced the project's research objectives, technical approach, and overall implementation plan. He further clarified the division of research tasks and decomposition of assessment targets across sub-projects, while also setting requirements for project management. Subsequently, the review experts evaluated the overall implementation plan and task allocation across institutions. After the discussion, the expert panel unanimously agreed that the project and sub-project implementation plans have clear research objectives, a well-defined overall approach, highlighted research priorities, and complete sub-project content. The work spans microsphere preparation, POCT reagent development, instrument development, and industrialization applications with strong continuity, effectively supporting the research goals. The panel also encouraged the project team to further strengthen collaboration across institutions, enhance the application of research outcomes, and pay attention to the technological advancement and economic feasibility of technology, materials, reagents, and instrument R&D.
